This painting emerged from a period of emotional paralysis following the events of January. It began with a simple observation: a moment when doing nothing felt like the only possible response. This figure records one of those moments. Resting against the table, suspended between exhaustion and silence, while the city beyond the window offers no relief. The outside world mirrors the same weight carried within. When I was finally able to paint again, this was the first image I chose to create. For me, the work speaks of two simultaneous dead ends: an inner sense of helplessness and an external reality that feels equally inescapable.
