Nexoxcho

Nexoxcho (pronounced ne-sho-sh-cho), short form of Nexoxchochitla ([she who] "makes fun of"), is one of the inhabitants of Mictlán, the underworld in the traditional Nahua / Aztec cosmology. An impersonation of fear, she is the one who creates nightmares and feeds cowardice in the Teyolia (hearts) of the mortals.
