I spend a lot of time ensuring the abstracts I make don’t accidentally resemble anything physical; a camel, a hat, a butterfly etc. I’m not interested in representations of anything physical.

However, I’ve come to realise that even though I try people will always find symbols, personal reminders, evocations. The viewer brings their imagination to the work. It can’t be avoided and the mixture of my art and their/your thoughts makes something else.
