. During his reign he was at war with the Christians of the Balkans. During Murad's reign, the Ottomans entered the war with Venice for the first time. The Ottomans succeeded in conquering Serbia as far as the Danube River, as well as Bulgaria. Murad also launched a war against insurgents in northern Albania, but refused to continue.
