A mummy is a corpse reanimated and preserved through the centuries through dark and secret rituals.
The mummification process consists of the maintenance of the body avoiding its decomposition and, it can be natural; if the corpse has been preserved in a rarefied atmosphere, for example, in a dense swamp, or artificial; if the corpse has been preserved through magical potions and ointments.
The process of reviving the mummy is jealously guarded by priests and shamans who worship dark gods of the desert.
The resulting mummy is usually completely wrapped in funerary bandages that cover a parched and dark-colored body, in fact, the word mummy comes from the Persian mummia, which means bitumen.
During the reanimation rituals, the mummy is linked to a certain tomb or temple, which she will protect for life, and her actions are directed by the spirits and magical energies used during said ritual. The mummies are, therefore, the eternal guards of tombs.
