Late April. It was almost the peak of the delicate cherry blossom season and I had been waiting 4 days for the heavy rain to clear at the small town of Fuji Yoshida, one of the main gateway to Fuji five lakes region.
Finally, on the fifth day, at the crack of dawn, I realized that the weather had improved dramatically and, happy as clam, I went down to Kawaguchi lake to witness the incredible beauty of the Japan's eternal symbol in all its splendour, framed by countless iconic cherry trees.
