Motion Study - Receipt #238 is a hand-drawn digital animation.

The piece animates Receipt #238 from the Self Checkout project by Jack Butcher and his team at Visualize Value, where the receipt itself becomes the artwork.

Starting from the original receipt, I drew additional visual elements within it, referencing works by Butcher. These drawings were then animated frame by frame.

The receipt thus becomes a surface of intervention, where a static artifact is transformed into a temporal visual record.
