Mid Oceanic Ridge (MOR) are features of ‘spreading centers’ located between two oceanic plates (ie in Atlantic ocean). The are the result of convection currents in the mantle, pushing two plates away from one another- where volcanic activity builds mountains at the sea floor. As the crust is added, it cools, and forms more and mor oceanic crust.
