Money Jester

Money Jester is a gif work I made in 2011. Those were the days of Occupy Wall Street and I was starting to make glitch art. The act of glitching, the altering of data within a digital format was my way to address my stand against those icons and symbols of power, creating art from destruction, a creative/destructive process as a performance, appropriating the cultural power of those images, digital iconoclastia, the glitches in the system manifest on the screen, corruption depicted corrupting data. I chose as subject of those my early glitch workz the crazy world of finance, currencies, banks, corporations. It's a money game and we are all in to lose it!
