Minime Shaman

This work is a reimagined shaman I originally created back in 2008 or so. When I started to rework it, I had no idea that it would lead to a new idea that will likely appear in more of my work. The muted colors are really atypical of most of my recent work, but it is just that fact that gives it a painterly richness and allows for sufficient value contrast for me to successfully incorporate more than one profile into the composition. It is subtle, but obvious as soon as you spot it.
