In this piece I play with the idea of travelling through a mine via the vantage point of a bouncing ball. The ball falls into the mine shaft and introduces us to an unseen part of the landscape (a metaphor for the unconscious mind?). In it's journey the ball comes back up through a mysterious elevator tube and returns to take the trip again. I like playing with the idea of these unique machines, symbols that exist in a landscape in an unknown place. They invite us to this place where we can make the journey with them.
