For me, one of the most mesmerizing books about the philosophy of language and logic is called Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus by Wittgenstein. The book is about seventy pages and seven sentences. And it starts with one of the most enigmatic sentences you can ever encounter. "The world is all that is the case." He expands the idea through sub-sentences and rigorously explains the logic of; what can be thought and what can be said with the help of linguistics. I used the sentences from this book where he investigates the representation of the 'all' through reductionism.
They are:
"The world is everything that is the case.
The world is the totality of facts, not of things.
Objects contain the possibility of all states of affairs.
Only if there are objects can there be a fixed form of the world.
The form is the possibility of the structure.
The total reality is the world.
The picture presents the facts in logical space, the existence, and non-existence of atomic facts.
The elements of the picture stand, in the picture, for the objects.
The picture agrees with reality or not; it is right or wrong, true or false.
What the picture must have in common with reality in order to be able to represent it after its manner—rightly or falsely—is its form of representation."
I fed these sentences to the diffusion model for creating its own mental representation.
