Mike Shinoda:
Mike is a multi-hyphenate creator, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who excels in illustration, composing, performance, writing and production. Music projects he is best known for are Linkin Park, Fort Minor, Styles of Beyond, The X-Ecutioners and most recently releasing music under his own name as well as composing for various video media and game projects. He is the co-founder of Machine Shop Records as well as founding the charitable organization Music For Relief with his bandmates in Linkin Park.
Mike's Tezos project ZIGGURATS is a 5000 piece art and music project. Each piece includes a 6:45 mixtape of vocals which are supported by varied instrumental layers. The artwork and the instrumentals are both made by Mike, and the pieces are built with generative layers. Each piece in the collection looks and sounds different from the rest.
He has also created editioned pieces on Tezos and Etherium, as well as the collaborative project WINDCHIME with Secret Garden. This project is composed of generative layers of art and an interactive music player with multiple instrumental stems which creates a dynamic and user led experience.
Mike has been a constant in my life, showing me it was possible to find success without being forced to pick a lane. He inspired me to embrace my multidisciplinary approach to creation and learning - blending and colliding mediums and themes to create something new. I credit Mike for introducing me to Tezos and Web3. I am inspired by his dedication and creativity every day.
