‘Migration’ by Ravi Kumar Chaurasiya is an NFT artwork part of the exhibition SWITCH (ON). Through ArtOwly, these artists have switched on to a new platform exploring the world of NFTs.

Ravi’s works talk about the politics of migration and urbanisation. In his work, the figure of a deer on a platform symbolises the commodification of nature. Deers that were very familiar to the artist in his childhood later became a commodity to be paid for in a zoo. The night sky and bulldozers, surrounding the scene of a disaster and present among the mushroom-like houses, also indicates how the increasing population affects nature.

Ravi Chaurasiya is an Interdisciplinary artist living and working in New Delhi. His works mostly talk about humanity’s actions towards nature and its aftermath.
