The dark hall of Hogwarts shimmered like a sky full of stars. Candle flames swayed with every faint breeze, casting strange, dancing shadows across the gothic walls. I, a mischievous Gryffindor girl, had a playful plan hidden beneath the silence.
In front of me, a glowing crystal orb pulsed as if it contained a tiny galaxy of its own. A little white bird, always chasing trouble, fluttered in curious circles around me. A sudden gust of wind swept through the stained-glass windows, brushing my hair aside. I couldn’t hide my grin and whispered softly, “Come closer wait until you see this trick.”
The bird tilted its head and darted forward. With a quick flick of my fingers and a short incantation, the orb snapped open like a luminous bubble and swallowed the bird whole! Inside, among the swirling stars, the tiny creature spun gracefully, leaving trails of silver light behind.
The playful little ghost Poofy let out a squeaky shriek and burst into bubbly laughter. My black cat Nocturna merely stared with glowing green eyes, her tail flicking lazily as if she’d witnessed scenes like this a hundred times before.
I bent over the table, laughing so hard I could barely breathe, while the orb twirled in my hand like a miniature sun and the bird beat its glowing wings inside its pocket-sized cosmos. Our midnight prank was exactly the kind of sparkling mischief we’d hoped for a secret burst of magic that filled the entire hall with silent laughter.
