Growing up in New York, I drew inspiration from the detritus of the cities billboards, subways, and walls layered with advertising, flyers, graffiti, weathered by time. Initially, I thought to recreate this look into a painting or collage. I began to photograph and collect urban textures, establishing a digital album for future work. I taught myself Photoshop in (2001) and began layering my images into digital collages. Metropolis has over fifty layers and multiple photographs from my collection of urban textures. It was my first collage that combined both photographic images and hand-painted digital elements. Created in 2003 over a period of 6 months. The buyer of this NFT get's a 17 x 22 signed print.
