Metaverse

The metaverse is a hypothesized iteration of the Internet, supporting persistent online 3-D virtual environments through conventional personal computing.

The term metaverse was coined in Neal Stephenson's 1992 science fiction novel (Snow Crash), where humans, as avatars, interact with each other and software agents, in a three-dimensional virtual space that uses the metaphor of the real world.

If you ask why metaverse , i must say when the world is going to be technological and industrial , i would rather to live in the fantasy colorful world than living in a dirty fogy city with polluted air .
