Moscow-Paris–based artist Ivan Lubennikov; born in Minsk in 1951 (Fine Arts, Monumental Art, Installation, Dgtl Art). His “nudes” explores the universal experience of existing within a body, as well as the ways race, gender, and sexuality intersect to form complex identities. They are all marked by the artist’s admiration of the great mystery of the feminine. The largest presentation of his work to date, the Ludwig Museum collection (Cologne, Germany), the International Auschwitz Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow, Russia), the Russian Museum (St.Petersburg, Russia), in the Madlen Station of the Paris Underground, the Mayakovskaya, the Slavyansky Boulevard and the Sretensky Boulevard Stations of the Moscow Underground, and Jean-Marie Oger Gallery (Paris, France).
