"May" is a sculpture that explores notions of identity and beauty in our society. This work is the result of a collaboration with my partner, May, who served as a model for the creation of this sculpture. The piece consists of May's bust partially covered in marble, symbolizing divinity and timelessness. May's head is replaced by that of a bronze deer, representing the duality between strength and fragility.
The work questions the notion of beauty and perfection often standardized in our society. "May" proposes an alternative vision of beauty by exploring the contrasts between the human body, the animal and the material, while highlighting the complexity and diversity of the notion of beauty in crypto-art.
