Materialist

Remaining completely sober, yet simultaneously intoxicated by purpose. Everything becomes depersonalized and pushed to the background, like the fleeting scenery of time. Detached, stepping into the light only in one of many masks, and only when circumstance demands. Everything around is just noise, an insignificant overlay over what truly is. And though everyone understands more than they reveal, loneliness persists — born from the illusion that their mask is too convincing.
