In the Russian tradition, Shrovetide celebration (maslenitsa) was accompanied by the burning of the "effigy", the meaning laid down in the origins of paganism of this tradition is the eternal "zeroing" in a similar personification of the "Phoenix bird", along with the fire, everything old and bad went away, and with the ashes, everything new and good. In my work, Maslenitsa takes place in the 21st century, namely in modern Russia, further explanations will be superfluous.
