The figures in this work appear as marionettes trapped between movement and control. Inspired by traditional puppet theater and Heidegger’s notion of “thrownness,” the piece reflects on the fragile nature of human agency within systems we never chose — language, history, social roles, and collective expectations.
The suspended strings and watchful forms above the figures suggest invisible forces shaping identity and behavior. What first resembles play gradually reveals a condition of existential unease: a choreography of inherited gestures, borrowed desires, and uncertain freedom.
