A tribute to the runaway success of the ‘Deadfellaz’ NFT project by fellow Australian BETTY. The Zombie-inspired Deadfellaz project has sold tens of thousands of items and has spurred the spin-off project ‘Deadfrenz’ and ‘Deadfellaz Infected.’ You can see it here: https://www.deadfellaz.io/
Many have been inspired by the creator, a young feminist/activist mother of 3 down under who created this brand from a home studio while corralling 3 young children in the process; Deadfellaz and its spin offs have now traded well over USD 80 million, quite an incredible feat, understatement. Meme tributes which have been undertaken by various creators recently, as well as a series of collabs between Deadfellaz and other Artists working in the Crypto/NFT Art space, has in turn inspired my version utilizing the main image from my ongoing successful collection ‘Marilyn Morph II.’
Even though Marilyn Monroe died nearly 60 years ago, she is still one of the most idolized stars in the world. Her ethereal, yet timeless, and seemingly impervious charisma is testament to her enduring popularity as an icon. This piece features Marilyn in the mid 1950s to late 1950s, at the height of her success and fame; the iconic image of carefree joy, sensuality and glamour which we’re familiar with today.
