Manic Origin 01

Upon the creation of my Manic series there were many sketches, experiments, and explorations. This is an 'origin' piece that led and inspired the creation of the final series.

The manic series is all about those gut-rentching highs. Checkout the original release notes: "Real talk. I’ve been feeling really burnt out, unmotivated, and generally....just ugh. Putting something together for this week was hard. To all my silent warriors out there, I see you. You have all my respect."

Sometimes, you've got to throw on the rocket booster and make your own damn path. As the famous Ricky Bobby once said, "I just wanna go fast" and "I'm Not Sure What To Do With My Hands.".

This generative piece was created in 674 lines of code using the shader language GLSL and runs in real-time. The technique used to create this is called raymarching and is done in a single in a fragment shader.

This shader has been rendered out in 4k resolution at 60fps.
