r.i.p. my dear "malokinha", created in 2017, one of my favorite works, because it was planned with references of brazilian indigenous architecture, made 100% of found materials (garbage) and with the help of someone who was the biggest influence for me to become an artist, my dad. this little house arose from a real need for reflection on housing, on homeless people, also symbolically on demarcation of indigenous lands, and especially an approximation and healing with my ancestral ties.
the objective of this first malokinha is to be a prototype of what is possible to build with a low budget. i hope in the future to articulate funds to build several, in strategic places, where there is a vulnerable population in need of comfort, rest, shelter and privacy. the houses will belong to all and for all. with the money from the incentive I would pay the assistants of the workforce, and the population itself to exchange knowledge with me and to build together.
