Malhar

Associated with torrential rains , Malhar is a classical Hindusthani raga. There are multiple variations of this raga Megh, Desh, Gaud etc - it is supposed to be played /sung slowly with patience.

As the story goes Mian Tansen , a well known singer in Akbar's court could with this raga bring torrential rain .
