#M2 Gandhari
The Mother of 100 Kurava, Gandhari was a princess of Gandhara and the current Queen of Astinapura. She yearns the love of Pandu, but Pandu's blind brother Drestarata choose her instead. As her dedication to her blind husband, she close her eyes to experience the same world as her husband. Her brother, Sangkuni enraged by this humiliations, scheming to eliminate Pandu and his descendant.
Gandhari and her husband Drestarata later would become the ruler of Astinapura. When she heard the news about the birth of Pandava, she felt insecure for the throne and demand a lot of children. Her penance impressed Shiva and the God gave her the boon to gave birth to 100 children.
Gandhari then gave birth to 101 children, 100 sons and 1 daughter. The biggest and the strongest of them is Duryodhana, the crown prince of Astinapura.
In the Great War, she was forced to see all of her 100 sons perished.
