Lost Wave is a series of autobiographical images that reflect on memory, place, and identity through the quiet, shifting language of landscape.
The title “Lost Wave” refers to five bodies of water tied to moments of personal and ancestral movement—each one a passage, shaping how home is understood:
• Atlantic Ocean – recalling the transatlantic slave trade from West Africa to the southeastern coast of the Americas. • Sea of Japan – tracing migration from Korea during the Japanese occupation. • Pacific Ocean – marking a crossing from Japan to the U.S., shaped by family conflict. • Tasman Sea – following legal migration from the U.S. to Australia. • Mediterranean Sea – mapping a final relocation from Australia to Spain.
These images, rendered in Blender, are imagined topographies—part memory, part invention—where waveforms become record-keepers of both history and interior life.
