Logos
Logos is the second programmable Art NFT by Italian artist Francesca Fini. In this works she recreates and re-prototypes in 3D the Art lamps conceived in the 70s by her father designer, and produced in limited edition by the visionary Italian company New Lamp. A few very rare examples of these Art lamps / light sculptures, now out of production, have recently become collector's items in the modernism market, and sold for tens of thousands of dollars at Christie's and other major auction houses. This project, animated by the artist’s desire to celebrate the genius of her father, digitally brings back to life a lost piece of Italian design from one of the most innovative and brilliant periods in recent history.
Logos by Gianfranco Fini New Lamp, 1971
This Art lamp was made of polymer semi-transparent parallelepipeds of various sizes, resting on a chromium-plated steel base measuring 30 x 30 cm. The base had a luminous inner side creating interesting optical effects. The piece is featured in Luce lampade 1968-1973: il nuovo design italiano, Fulvio Ferrari e Napoleone Ferrari, Allemandi Editore.
The collector of this NFT will receive as a reward a hand-drawn sketch of the lamp signed by Gianfranco Fini.
