Lifeguard

This series of photographs was taken at Barton Springs pool in Austin, Texas, USA on September 3rd, 2021. On that day, my mom was taken to the ICU, fighting for her life after having complications from surgery. Seeking peace, my daughter, my wife, and I went for a swim. To connect with the sacred Sun and Water. To remember that we are not in control.
