Beyond the binary addition.
To us, technology is used in the service of the art and not the other way around. Our artwork is not about ones and zeros, exist or not exist. One and zero are in no way a state or quality of a thing but must be understood as a possibility. Empty spaces exist. The way to fill them is the result of a visual rule and emotional reactions to it, not a computer one.
Influenced by Optical art, the programming language was an answer to explore variations on our ideas. Every iteration is an attempt to find an algorithmic combination that is not supposed to exist.
By manually manipulating the binary addition, we created a shape that evolves infinitely outside the rules. Our artwork’s roots are in computer graphics and visual effects, geometric abstraction, and minimalist expression, in which patterns of squares produce an unstoppable movement.
Pushing the boundaries.
Our modern-day digital companions navigate the world of ones and zeros, interpreting our intentions through the lens of programming languages. We can often think of programming as unintuitive, precise, and methodical, and art as the contrary, as a frantic expression of some primal creative urge. The “Let the Pixels free” collection breaks down the binary code without breaking bad and cross all binary and non-binary states to explore all possibilities, in their totality and to infinity.
Inspired by Conceptual Design that breaks free from the confines of traditional design, our concept is rooted in abstraction, embracing the use of unconventional programming methods, vibrant colors and abstract shapes in order to create a moving geometric pattern. Each of our creation is an unprecedented digital manipulation of pixels.
Who we are.
Code22. An engaged collective who believes in creative thinking to move the society forward. At the heart, there is several clusters of interest, influences, and issues. We are well versed in both contemporary culture & society, art & technology, design, and creative industries with a focus on the creative application of technology.
Drawing inspiration from multiple disciplines, we embrace a more abstract, intellectual, and thought-provoking aesthetic with contextual relevance to challenge perception and emotions.
Our purpose reflects on activism in our "not-so-binary world" motto, NFTs serving as a lens. Over the last years, we threw ourselves into bringing our vision to life. With the digital revolution taking place in the art world today, we have found in NFTs a new democratic model of engagement based on meaningful exchange, providing unprecedented access to art.
