La Pietà

More than 140 hours of rendering, vertical format 2160x2700, my longest piece to date: La Pietà. The sculpture of the legendary Michelangelo, comes to life in this contemplative, dark and simple and direct staging. I have chosen "lacrimosa" by the magnificent Mozart as the music, as it adds an epic and moving atmosphere to the brutal scene I am referring to, where a mother holds the dead body of her son. She finds no consolation, while he accepts his fate and clings to forgiveness and the satisfaction of having lived in peace.
