ELYSIUM
A city floating somewhere beyond reach. A world separated from us by a wall, barbed wire and an invisible distance that feels impossible to cross.
Behind it, the sky moves, the stars flicker and the distant city feels almost alive. In front of it stands an ordinary citizen, distorted but completely still. Nothing really changes for him. The world keeps moving around him, but he remains trapped in the same place. No escape, no progress. Just survival.
The ELYSIUM tag is my personal mark in this world. Its graffiti character is a direct connection to my past, a small piece of the underground culture I grew up with when I was painting illegally. I wanted to bring that feeling into this digital dystopia. A trace of a subculture that refuses to disappear.
The individual elements were generated with AI using my own prompts, then manually processed and assembled layer by layer. Backgrounds were removed and refined, grain, light, shadows and distortion were added frame by frame. The background video was edited separately, and all elements were finally composed into the finished GIF.
The idea of Elysium has been occupying my mind for a long time. Robotics, AI, inflation, wars over resources and a world where the wealthiest continue to accumulate more and more. I keep wondering what happens when technology and resources become increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few.
Maybe Elysium is not a distant fantasy. Maybe it is the direction hidden inside many of the small changes happening around us. A place of comfort, safety and abundance that slowly becomes inaccessible to the majority.
A digital memory of a place we can see, but never reach.
