Kooka by Josh Dykgraaf

Kooka takes the form of a Kookaburra created from leaves and ferns found near Fitzroy Falls, NSW, Australia. To create the image I brought these leaves to my studio and shot them under studio conditions. The Kookaburra is one of Australia’s most iconic birds, known for its distinctive “laughing” bird call.
