Kitsune
In Japanese Shinto faith, the god Inari is said to be associated with agriculture, fertility and protector of rice.
According to legend, the gods favour an animal to act as their avatars or messengers. Inari's animal is depicted as a white kitsune.
A Kitsune (fox) mask were originally used in Shinto ritual dances and Japanese theatre productions.
