One of a series of the 'genesis' of my recent abstract digital work. My visual language of grids, circles and crosses originated in drawing, landscape and written glyphs and was developed some 35 years ago.
JS Console gets its name from the logging facility for javascript devs. It is a common standard interface identical across all major browsers. Standard interfaces, elements, nomenclature, objects, structures and approaches promote understanding.
New languages develop and others become redundant, not only in the computer world but in spoken or written or visual language. It's the same with my painting - some elements obsessively repeat, others get forgotten, techniques resurface when they are needed, on the face of it - it appears uncontrolled and not easily understood, but there's a system, a structure and a recogizable set of elements. Just like language.
Javascript first appeared in 1995.
