The fabulous Beatles, iconic musical revolutionaries. 4 extraordinary boys from Liverpool (I went to the same school as John) & was raised around the corner from where George was also born and raised. I hung around Penny Lane as a kid and attended the same art college as John later on, where my mum also studied & my dad taught. Their unique talent & bond, especially the relationship between John & Paul is the stuff of modern legend and their influence upon modern pop music (& myself) cannot be understated. The Beatles loom large in my imagination. I once dreamed of meeting John in a doorway on Broadway in NYC. The Beatles legacy of original music will undoubtedly live on firever. John's influence upon the peace & counter-culture movement of the 1960's is important.
