Joi (Blade Runner 2049)

Joi appeared to be a beautifully beautiful petite young woman in general. Her features, such as eye color, hair color, and clothing, differed from one instance to the next. She could use a variety of vocal intonations and accents. She was a holographic projection that needed to be manifested to the viewer/user, whether it was a ceiling-mounted projector for a single room, a building-scale advertising projector, or a portable "Emanator" device that allowed Joi to travel with her user.

Joi's primary function was to communicate with other creatures, whether human, replicant or otherwise, as the user's mate or companion. As she ran, she kept track of data "memories," which allowed her "personality" to evolve over time.
