Jangale Asfalt

1st Hichkas NFT: Artwork designed by Mahdyar for Jangale Asfalt (Asphalt Jungle), the first Persian hip-hop studio album ever released. An instant hit among Iranians globally, the album took the banned genre to the mainstream in 2006, leading to the arrest of Hichkas in Iran for defying the Islamic Republic’s censorship laws. Despite all restrictions, the album was later featured in a Cannes-winning film. Forced out of Iran, Hichkas & Mahdyar hope blockchain empowers silenced artists everywhere.
