Jagger Satisfaction, 2021

Mick Jagger (1943- ), as the lead of one of the most successful and long-lived pop-rock acts of all time The Rolling Stones, needs little introduction or explanation. He’s as iconic for his physical attribute of his sensual pouty lips as he is for his voice, stage presence and hit songs like ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.’ This piece is a celebration of all things pleasurable like voluptuous women, ethereal florals and mouthwatering confectionery. I’ve taken inspiration from Gustav Klimt, 1960s counter-culture like Oz magazine and vintage upholstery fabrics - as well as those classic suckers Chupa Chups to create a delectable and hedonistic tableau, which is sure to satisfy even the most demanding star’s rider. This is a unique hand drawn and painted piece with collage.
