Oil Painting on Board.

I was randomly sent a selfie on Instagram in my DMs, I was confused but also intrigued at the shapes and expression, so much so that I decided to paint from the image. It turned out the sender was the incredible painter 'Ivan Floro'.

This painting sparked a new way of working for me, a more abstract approach in my mark-making, a different sense of representation. A key moment in my #100heads challenge that I was undertaking at the time.
