Inner device

A collaboration beween Nebülar and Aempatia 2024

The work began by scanning and transforming images from art books and composing them using collage techniques. The result was processed using a dirty mixer and various electronic components, then the background image was separated and processed using Panasonic's WJ-AVE5 and WJ-MX10 mixers in combination with a Reach200s video processor. All these frames were then combined and animated in Resolve and converted to a gif.

'Your inner child takes place' is a collab collection with some fellow glitch artists. The series will be about the dialogue between disciplines and mediums, using the rupture as a trigger to propose a new visual discourse. Enjoying the game without expectations, but in a really serious way, something like children do... the one and only rule. Mixing old images from classic oil paintings with the possibilities of video synth, scan glitching and miscellaneous digital processes to deal with the aesthetics of error.
