inedible

a man drinks a cup of room temperature water. full of dissolved fish food. to try and taste. something he has not done in decades. he observes shirts. that he wants to buy. to taste again. but their threads will not satisfy the hunger. his stomach is eating itself. but his friends tell him he looks great. his sunken eyes suggest he'll die soon. but he'll live forever.
