In my opinion, there's just something magical about the texture created by a paintbrush. All those tiny bristles wound so tightly together, creating countless parallel lines in every stroke. Often times, this detail is absent from modern artworks, mainly due to the adoption and embracing of digital art. "In a Different Light" is, essentially, the same two images, each with four different light effects applied.
As an artist, I find myself simply playing with color more often than anything else. Creating gradients and hombres that are visually striking makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. These are four of my favorites set to rotate through in sync with the time of day/night.
