Impression

Minimalist images sometimes capture the imagination more readily than ones which contain more detail.

In this piece I have imagined a deep midnight-blue reflective tear-drop shaped object falling onto a deceptively plain, dark surface. As it falls, the object's path is shown by a grey-blue shadow until it breaks the surface, splashing colour as it does so. A very simple yet striking image.
