"Because for Mourning at This Grave There Is No Cloud"
Because for mourning at this grave there is no cloud— and if there were a cloud, and if that cloud wept, these silent eyes would brim with the sound of a spring.
Leave me between weeping and raining, leave me here—in this interval—and in silence! For beneath this “if there were a cloud,” there is nothing.
For—because—since—to think of rain is heresy. Beneath this sky, where is the eye? Show it to me! Show it to me, that I may weep for a grave that is not, with an eye that is nowhere, and with the bubbling of a spring in jade.
