Ice on Fire
A prélude to the incoming collection that will embrace the vibe of the Shades of Chromos (SoC) mini-landscapes collection. It will feature patterns (lines) that interact with entities. Its structure reminds of the A4 pages with 4.5cm x 4.5cm squares used in the SoC collection, created in 2021.
The final page is a sketch, full of experiments, that I was happy with, and decided to mint as a standalone 1/1.
Variations on lines, color blends, refractions, reflections of lines or light, through spheres, cubes, cylinders, tori. In some of the mini drawings, the solids attract the lines (magnetic field, gravity). In others, they have a repulsive action.
The title was inspired by my last interaction with KOLLECTOR, who invited me to this PERMANENT COLLECTION, shortly before I performed the digital edits.
A4 oil-based color pencil {Faber-Castell Polychromos} drawing. Digital edits on GIMP. The final image is a merge between a scanned version (Canon Pixma 3650 CIS) and a photographed version (Canon 5D Mark III RAW + Pentacon auto 50/1.8 vintage lens), in order to introduce additional glitches due to the interferences between the camera's abberrations and the scanner's low definition CIS sensor color curve. As a last step, I blended the final image with my 365 [ 2023 ] day 1's A4 blank paper texture / noise.
The physical artwork from which this digital artwork was derived can be acquired separately from the NFT. It was signed "δφ" with the very pencil that drew all the days of the 365 [2023] pencil drawing that lead to daily mints on Objkt.com during 2023.
A scan of the original drawing will also be minted in the Colorfuλ collection as a 1/1 and airdropped to KOLLECTOR.
