I am Us

A reflection on how our perceived individuality is actually intertwined with everyone else around us. This artwork is built with five layers, each with five color choices. Four of those colors are unique to each layer, offering quantities of possibilities for the overall look of the artwork. Black is available in all the layers. The black version of the center ellipse has a golden border, making the “whole black” version a “gold ring on black” artwork, very different from all the other possibilities. A unique version that will be visible only if the 5 owners decide on the same choice at the same time. At any time, the displayed artwork is the confirmation that a “me” always affects others and, at the same time, always depends on others.
