Hydrangea

In Brittany, the hydrangea grows in almost everyone's garden. I particularly like the blue flowered bushes and I have placed a group of flowers within my evocative picture.

The organic, curved blue form appears to be part of the girl who, in turn, wears a matching blue metallic lipstick. The hydrangea flower's saturation changes as the petals develop and the viewer senses the tension between the two, waiting for their colours to be one.
