They say that the calmest place in a hurricane is at the center. Look into the eye of the hurricane of my life. There's a calmness within my aging, I mean raging storm. (Sorry, Freudian slip there.) No one's life is easy and/or perfect. No matter what happens to me in my life, I've been genuinely practicing to have stillness of mind. The center of my storm is a quiet location where I observe the natural world and reality. I actively try to keep the storm out of the eye of my hurricane. It's not easy, but it works.
